There aren’t many more magical experiences than the wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
When visiting Universal Orlando, guests can enjoy two world-class theme parks at Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, as well as a water park at Universal’s Volcano Bay.
Both theme parks contain the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and there are plenty of fun attractions to enjoy while visiting. Islands of Adventure is home to Hogsmeade, which owns Harry Potter and Hagrid’s The Forbidden Journey, Theft of the Hippogriff, and Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventure.
Connected by the Hogwarts Express, guests can enjoy Diagon Alley next door to Universal Studios Florida, which includes the attraction Harry Potter and the Gringotts Escape.
On a recent trip, a guest shared that the attraction suffered a malfunction when someone’s bandana fell on the track, causing the ride to stop. This, like many other things, is a safety feature to make sure the trail is clear and everything is working as it should.
Another guest said that while they don’t mind getting stuck on most rides, the Harry Potter rides “always make them a little sad”.
“I love getting stuck on most rides, it gives the chance to see little things at a slower pace, but the screen rides at HP World always make me sad, kinda ruin the magic when they loop or become just black.”
Although rides break down from time to time, Universal Orlando team members are expertly trained to ensure guests are safe and at no time has anyone been in danger. Escape from Gringotts resumed normal operation the same day, and while an outage can be disappointing, it’s not common.
Universal Orlando Resort describe Harry Potter and the Gringotts Escape This way:
Breaking in is impossible. Getting out is more difficult.
Step beneath a massive fire-breathing dragon and travel deep underground on this thrilling, multi-dimensional ride. As you navigate perilous underground vaults, you’ll meet Harry, Ron, and Hermione. But you’ll have to escape the wrath of evil Voldemort™, Bellatrix, trolls and other creatures who stand between you and a safe return to Diagon Alley™.
The Wizarding World can also be enjoyed across the country at Universal Studios Hollywood.
